My three, non-negotiable daily practices.


It doesn't have to complicated. It doesn't have to be fancy. It doesn't have to be in Sanskrit. Mantra can simply be a verbal reminder you say to yourself (silently or out loud) throughout your day to bring you back to yourself.

I'll show you how simple it can be.

These days, my mantra is tied to my parenting: do one less thing. slow down. drink some water. have a snack.

I find that when things get stressful or crunched, if I run through this list, we can usually find our way back! 


Wherever you are, no matter what is happening around you, you can always place a hand across your heart, palm open, fingers loose & relaxed. Keep your shoulders soft. Take a deep breath in through your nose, feel it fill your belly, your ribs, and your chest. Then let a deep breath go from your mouth, relax your jaw, and feel the breath descend from your chest, your ribs, to your belly. Repeat as needed :) 

  • MOVE

Dance. Walk. Take a simple forward fold or a 90-minute yoga class (if you have the time, God bless you!). Stretch your arms up over your head. Roll your shoulders. Whatever it is - creating more space in your physical body helps you open up space inside your heart, your mind, and yourself.
