Part One: Deepening Your Practice
January 4-6, 2019 Module 1: The Daily Vinyasa
It’s a simple starting premise, but not always easy to stay committed to: our most heartfelt and embodied teaching offering comes from our own personal daily practice. When your own practice is a place of ease & joy, it can also be a place of service for your teaching.
The work begins here. Together, we’ll examine the roadblocks to daily practice, do a deep investigation of your current personal practice, and create clear pathways ahead toward your transformation. We’ll look at how the yoga we do on our mats plays a big role in how the “daily vinyasa” of our life unfolds into our life’s work.
We’ll leave Module 1 established with a plan for daily personal practice & self-study, an outline for your personal growth, and new ways of approaching your yoga practice and eventually, teaching.

MArch 1-3,2019 module 2: The Anatomy & Physiology of YogA
In this practical & applied approach to anatomy, we look at bodies, assess shapes, and learn in-depth knowledge to gain functional understanding of how it all works. This is the yoga anatomy lesson you can actually use to elevate your teaching.
We’ll investigate the daily sequences from Module 1 to learn how the muscles, bones, and connective tissue relate in a harmonious symphony of fluid vinyasa.
We’ll look inside the chest to see how the heart, lungs, and the way you breath become the conductors of your yogic experience.
We’ll leave Module 2 with an orchestra of anatomical and physiological knowledge that will bring you deeper into your highly-individualized experience and understanding of vinyasa yoga.

April 12-14, 2019 module 3: The composition
This is integrated sequencing for your everyday practice experience. Consider how the daily moments of our lives inform what we need and how we respond to the natural rhythm of the world around & within us. Realizing that we change just as like the seasons change, we are able to create and find our way into fluid asana sequences that support and enliven us.
We’ll deconstruct our sequences and examine how each element can morph into exactly what you need in the moment. The mat becomes not only our laboratory for our physical body, but a microcosm for our emotional and spiritual life.
We’ll leave Module 3 with a fresh way of sequencing that goes beyond explicit planning, linear progressions, and dusty canons. Here, you take ownership of how you feel and learn how to practice with it.

May 24-26, 2019 module 4: The Art of Touch
In this interactive module, we’ll work together with mindfulness towards today’s changing dynamic - we’ll look at the politics, ethics, and cultural conversations to facilitate a safe, consensual, and beneficial relationship with physical touch.
There is no such thing as “one-size-fits” all in the realm of adjusting. We’ll explore how to read bodies and energetic output with our knowledge about the form and function of each posture and movement.
You’ll leave Module 4 confident in your ability to give and receive hands-on assists and physical touch to transform your (and those of you already teaching, your student’s) experience of the asana.
